On the last day of the Bundesliga season, 1. FC Union Berlin will play RB Leipzig. To thank the supporters for the extraordinary support this year, the team will wear shirts with “Danke Unioner” on the front of the strip. Despite not having supporters at the Alte Försterei this season, the club appreciates the backing from outside.
The Köpenick club is also receiving special support from partners Aroundtown. The company will waive their right to the front of the shirt on the last day to thank the supporters.
“Now at the end of the season, we would also like to thank everyone who has contributed to the success of 1. FC Union Berlin. It was extremely challenging circumstances for everyone, so we are all the more pleased for what the team has achieved. So it was obvious for us to do without our logo for the special shirt. With the message on the front, we want to look forward and are pleased to support Union as main sponsor in the season ahead,” said Oschrie Massatschi, Chief Capital Markets Officer at Aroundtown.
Specialising in commercial real estate, Aroundtown was previously sponsoring our youth team before joining 1. FC Union Berlin as main sponsor in 2019. The two-year contract has been extended for another season.
