On Saturday, 23. December, the candles will once again be lit and the songbooks opened at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei as the Union family come together for the traditional singing of Christmas carols sing to get in the mood for the festive season.

To ensure a successful evening, all guests are asked to observe the following instructions:

  • Guests are requested to arrive in good time by public transport, as there are hardly any parking spaces available in the area surrounding the stadium. The stadium opens at 17:00
  • The security measures for the Weinachtssingen fulfil the same high requirements as for the match days of 1. FC Union Berlin. All guests are advised to allow sufficient time for admission checks.
  • Please follow the instructions of the stewards around the stadium. The site plan, which can also be found on the admission ticket, can be used for orientation on site.
  • The following stadium areas are accessible:
  • Main stand (sector 1), forest side (sector 2), back straight (sector 3), football side (sectors 4 & 5) and interior.
  • The interior and the sector 1 seating area can only be accessed via the entrances to the left (A) and right (B) of the main stand. Guests with tickets for Sectors 3, 4 & 5 are requested to use the entrances on the west side if possible (ticket office areas III & IV)
  • The standing areas in Sectors 2, 3, 4 and 5 can be reached from all entrances via the walkway behind the standing areas.

The stadium regulations apply:

  • Bulky items (such as pushchairs; folding stools etc.), glass bottles and thermos flasks may not be brought into the stadium.
  • In deviation from the stadium regulations, recording devices and cameras are permitted.
  • In order to avoid delays at access control, all visitors are requested not to bring large bags or luggage into the stadium.

In the stadium:

  • Candles and song books are available free of charge at all direct entrances to the stadium areas.
  • All catering stations are open. At the barbecues and drinks stands, payment can be made in cash or cashless by debit or credit card or mobile phone.
  • Union fan merchandise will be available at the Union-Zeughaus Waldseite and the Hämmerlingeck and Bierkasse sales stands. There will also be two sales stands inside the stadium behind the gegengerade.

Programme schedule:

  • 17:15: Pre-programme with the Eisernen Bläsern and the men’s choir Eintracht Mahlsdorf
  • 19:00: Start of the Christmas carol singing with the school choir of the Emmy-Noether-Gymnasium
  • 21:00: End of the event

The event has been sold out for weeks and tickets are no longer available. There is one last chance for club members on the official secondary ticket market.

The 1. FC Union Berlin Foundation will also be on site this year. Donations for the joint initiative “Eisern statt Einsam” by the foundation, V.I.R.U.S. and Union-Wirtschaftsrat are kindly requested.

All those who cannot be there will be able to watch the broadcast of the 21st Christmas Singing from the An der Alten Försterei stadium on rbb television from 8.15pm. The event will be shown live on AFTV from 7pm. You can also sing along at home, as the songbook for this year’s Christmas sing-along is available free of charge in digital form from the Union kiosk.
