Following his previous international experience with the Netherlands, 1. FC Union Berlin’s Sheraldo Becker has committed his international future to Suriname.
The 26-year-old will head sharply off to national team duties after Saturday’s game against Leipzig, where he will prepare for the tournament which will be held in the United States. Becker will help his side in World Cup qualifying against Bermuda and Canada on June 5 and 9 before the tournament kicks off.
Suriname will play Jamaica and Costa Rica on July 13 and July 17 with a third opponent still to be confirmed.
