Anouk Blaschka Signs for Union’s Women

1. FC Union Berlin have signed midfielder Anouk Blaschka from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim II for the new season, making the 19-year-old the fourth new signing for Union’s women’s team for 2023/24.

Blaschka came through the youth ranks of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and has made 53 2. Bundesliga appearances for the U-20 team since 2020, scoring four goals. Blaschka has also captained the young team this last season.

Union’s winger, Naika Reissner, will certainly help her settle in at Köpenick, having been team-mates during Reissner’s spell in Hoffenheim during the 2021/22 season, playing eight games together.

“I’m really looking forward to playing for 1. FC Union Berlin next season and supporting the team with the experience I’ve gained over the last nine years at TSG Hoffenheim,” said Blaschka of her transfer. “In the first talks with the people in charge at Union, I immediately felt at ease and I’m really excited. That’s why I’m ready, alongside the team, to give  with everything I have to achieve the goals we have planned.”

“Anouk is a young player with a lot of experience and with leadership qualities,” said Union’s director of women’s and girl’s football, Jennifer Zietz. “She will further strengthen our squad with her experience from the 2. Liga.”
