VfB fan events in Japan

Fan zones, a meet and greet, public training sessions and sponsorship events – VfB supporters in Osaka, Kyoto and Hiroshima have plenty of opportunities to see their favourite players and pick up souvenirs during the club’s summer tour of Japan.

Osaka und Kyoto

VfB kick things off at 10:00 local time (03:00 CEST) on Saturday 27 July with an open training session at the J-Green Sakai facility in Osaka, before the ‘Mercedes me’ event at the Mercedes me Store in Osaka from 15:00 to 16:30 local time (08:00 to 09:30 CEST).

Fans can look forward to another eventful day in Kyoto on Sunday, with Porsche hosting the ‘Coffee, Cars & Football’ event at the Hongan-Ji temple, which was built in 1602, at 14:00 local time (07:00 CEST). At 19:00 (12:00 CEST), VfB take on Kyoto Sanga in a friendly at Sanga Stadium by Kyocera. A fan zone will be set up near the ground, giving VfB supporters the opportunity to get their hands on souvenirs.

Hiroshima

Sebastian Hoeneß will put his players through their paces in another open training session at Hot Staff Field in Hiroshima on Wednesday 31 July (10:00 local time, 03:00 CEST). An exclusive ‘White and Red Fan Night’ will round off the day, with skipper Atakan Karazor and Co welcoming VfB fans at Hiroshima’s Kemby’s Brew Pub between 19:30 and 22:30 local time. Participation is limited to 100 supporters (Sign up now!).

VfB then travel to the Edion Peace Wing Stadium to take on Sanfrecce Hiroshima in their second friendly the following day. Another fan zone, featuring numerous activities, will be set up next to the arena. The game kicks off at 18:30 local time (11:30 CEST), with the fan zone opening at 16:00 local time (09:00 CEST).
