Due to heavy rainfall, the training pitch in Neukirchen has been deemed unplayable until further notice. With further downpours forecast, the decision was made on Wednesday to end the training camp early and return to Stuttgart.
VfB sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth: “We really would have liked to complete the training camp as planned, but without fully usable training pitches it obviously doesn’t make sense to stay here. That’s why we decided on an early return to Stuttgart.”
