Since the middle of this month, Hiroki Ito (Japan) and Wooyeong Jeong (South Korea) have been on duty at the Asian Cup, while Serhou Guirassy (Guinea) and Silas (DR Congo) are taking part in the Africa Cup of Nations.
Ito played the full 90 minutes as Japan lost 2-1 to Iraq in their second group game, with Jeong coming off the bench for the final 30 minutes of South Korea’s 2-2 draw with Jordan.
Fit-again Guirassy was an unused substitute in Guinea’s 1-0 triumph over Gambia in the Africa Cup of Nations. Silas – a 64th-minute substitute – salvaged a point for DR Congo against Morocco with a 76th-minute equaliser.
