VfB Stuttgart welcome SAP as a new member of the club’s family of partners and as supplier of a number of IT solutions that will enable the club to implement its digital strategy. The world’s largest provider of enterprise applications, based in Walldorf in Baden-Württemberg, is coming on board at the highest level, as a team partner. The collaboration will include a whole host of sponsoring and hospitality components, as well as the implementation of software to sustainably improve the fan experience and give VfB the ability to extract valuable learnings from the data that is gathered.
The partnership will focus on close content-based cooperation in the projects driving VfB’s digital transformation. Fans will benefit, for example, from faster processing and payments when ordering catering options thanks to SAP Customer Checkout, while SAP Event Ticketing will simplify the ticket sales and entry control processes for fans, partners and VfB as a whole. SAP’s software solutions will also help to provide new fan-focused offers.
Not only the fans, but also VfB’s youth and pro players will reap the rewards of the new partnership. SAP Sports One will enable detailed analysis of the players’ health and fitness, tactics and the scouting of new talents.
“We are delighted to have brought another global player based in Baden-Württemberg on board here at VfB Stuttgart and would like to thank our new partner for the trust that they are demonstrating in us,” said Rouven Kasper, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer of VfB Stuttgart. “SAP is a global company with an incredible level of recognition, and one that will help VfB to make crucial progress on a number of levels via this partnership. For SAP, we are the ideal platform for them to fully integrate their products into a large-scale, digitally focused club, providing a showcase for flexible solutions that businesses can use. We can achieve so much together – and we fully intend to.”
