VfB Stuttgart have agreed to let 20-year-old striker Mohamed Sankoh join Italian second-division side Cosenza Calcio in a season-long loan deal. The Dutchman spent the last two seasons on loan in the Netherlands, first with Vitesse Arnhem and then with Heracles Almelo. After registering six goals in 28 appearances for Heracles last term, Sankoh played 81 minutes of VfB U21s’ opening third-division game of the season at F.C. Hansa Rostock, which finished 1-1.

VfB wishes Mohamed Sankoh all the best for his new challenge.

Fabian Wohlgemuth, board member for sport: “Mo’s loan spells over the past two seasons have been very beneficial for his development. He was able to gain important experience and match practice in Arnhem and Almelo. We hope the loan move to Cosenza Calcio in Italy will be the next step in Mo’s development, and we wish him all the best and every success for the coming season.”
