Assistant coach Malik Fathi has extended his contract at VfB Stuttgart until summer 2027. The 40-year-old’s new deal matches the duration of the recently extended contracts of Sebastian Hoeneß and David Krecidlo.
Fathi joined the VfB coaching staff last summer. Before his move to Stuttgart, the two-time Germany international, who made 175 Bundesliga appearances as a player for Hertha BSC and Mainz 05, worked as a coach in the Hertha academy.
