Fabian Bredlow is set to remain a VfB Stuttgart player for another two and a half years after the goalkeeper, whose previous deal was due to expire at the end of the current campaign, agreed a contract extension with the club through to 30 June 2026. The 28-year-old joined VfB in the summer of 2019, helping the club secure an immediate return to the Bundesliga in his first season in Cannstatt. Bredlow has made 35 competitive appearances for VfB to date – 20 in the Bundesliga, four in Bundesliga 2 and 11 in the DFB Cup.

VfB sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth: “Fabian Bredlow has been a constant figure in our goalkeeping team for many years. He identifies with VfB and the region, and is a key member of our squad on and off the pitch thanks to his abilities as a footballer, his exemplary work ethic and his personality. We’re really pleased that Fabi has extended his contract ahead of schedule.”

Fabian Bredlow: “I’m grateful and glad that the club approached me and wanted to extend my contract. It’s a vote of confidence that makes me very happy. I didn’t have to think twice. I feel completely at home here at VfB and with my family in Stuttgart. I’ll continue to give my all and support the team, in particular Alex [Nübel], as best I can.”
