Madrid, Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, 17 September 2024: it is the 68th minute of VfB’s first appearance in Europe’s premier club competition for over 14 years. Deniz Undav heads Jamie Leweling’s cross into the back of the net to make it 1-1. A highly emotional moment – which has now been captured for all eternity. Together with the Berlin design label HANDS OF GOD, VfB has created a digital collector’s item from this scene for your personal VfB museum. And that is not all. In addition to this special VfB collectible, the €40 package also includes an exclusive t-shirt with the artwork printed on the back. The so-called ‘Moment Collectible’ has a time limit and is only available on the VfB Collectibles page until the next Champions League match on 1 October.

Over the coming months, VfB will immortalise further special moments on the European stage with the ‘Moment Collectibles’. There will be a uniquely interpreted ‘Moment Collectible’ after every game, based on how the match turns out, created in collaboration with selected artists and each including a cool t-shirt. VfB wants to support both the artists themselves and the art and cultural landscape, and give the scene the platform it deserves. VfB is also recognising the support of VfB fans: anyone who collects at least three different Moments over the course of the season will also have the chance to win a signed UEFA Champions League shirt from VfB.

Die Digital Collectibles

Digital collectibles

Digital collectibles are purely digital collector’s items that only exist online. Since the end of last year, VfB has also been offering high-quality 3D collectibles in addition to the usual physical products. What is special about the digital collectibles is they can easily be extended. Additional added value (such as a t-shirt in this case) can be linked to digital collectibles, or they can be used in special VfB game formats on the platform. VfB is presenting the various collector’s items in a unique way in the digital museum, thus demonstrating your connection to the club.
