• Christopher Lenz, Mo Simakan and Dani Olmo (all muscular problems) as well as the long-term injured Xaver Schlager (torn cruciate ligament) were unable to take part.
   
• Coach Marco Rose changed to four players from the previous week. Janis Blaswich replaced Peter Gulacsi in goal, Eljif Elmas, Xavi after serving a suspension and Benjamin Sesko also returned to the team.
   
• Benjamin Henrichs picked up his 5th yellow card, Xavi his 9th booking. However, all cards will be annulled and not carried over into next season.

DEBUT FACTS

• Central defender Jonathan Norbye (17) and midfielder Nuha Jatta (18) celebrated their Bundesliga debust in the Leipzig jersey. Both boys from our U19s were brought on in stoppage time.
   

GOAL FACTS

• Benjamin Sesko also scored in the 7th Bundesliga game in a row. Only Timo Werner had such a scoring run for the Red Bulls, in the 2019/20 season. Our Slovenian attacker ended up with 14 BL goals, 11 of them in the second half of the season.
   
• Lois Openda (24) and Sesko (14) = 38 goals have drawn level with Werner (28) and Patrik Schick (10). The latter duo also scored a total of 38 Bundesliga goals in the 2019/20 season.

• Nicolas Seiwald initiated Leipzig’s second goal with a pass to Sesko and thus collected his 2nd assist.

RECORD FACTS

• Just missed the points record: The draw in Frankfurt left RBL with 65 points. We had our second-best season. In the 2019/20 campiagn our team won 67 points.
   
• Best fourth-place finisher in Bundesliga history! Since the introduction of the 3-point rule, only Borussia Mönchengladbach has also collected 65 points (19/20). However, we have a +12 better goal-difference and therefore overtake them.
