Goals, goals, and more goals!

Kane, Guirassy, Haaland, Openda

  • Summer signing Lois Openda is currently third in the race for the Bundesliga golden boot. Only Harry Kane (21, FC Bayern) and Serhou Guirassy (17, VfB Stuttgart) have scored more than our number 17 so far this campaign (11)

  • The Belgian has also found success in the Champions League. “Bouzou” has scored four goals in Europe’s premier club competition, which puts him one behind Alvaro Morata, Antoine Griezmann (Atletico Madrid), Erling Haaland (Manchester City) and Rasmus Hojlund (Manchester United).

On the way to becoming a legend: Emil Forsberg’s best moments for RBL!

Farewell to a Leipzig legend

  • 19:54:52 on 19th December is a moment that will go down in Leipzig history. Emil Forsberg came off in the 63 minute of our Bundesliga match against Werder Bremen and brought his nine-year spell at RB Leipzig to a close.

Since 2015, Emil has played in 325 competitive games for RBL, scoring 71 goals. He has been with Leipzig from the 2. Bundesliga to the Champions League and has celebrated two DFB-Pokal titles with the club. The RBL icon will move to the USA to play for New York Red Bulls in January 2024

Even though his new home is in the Big Apple, there will always be a part of him at Cottaweg. Once a Red Bull, always a Red Bull, Emil!

Back to Back: Strong start to 2023/24 after impressive end to 22/23

  • After a strong finish to the previous season meant that RBL finished in third place in the Bundesliga and a squad overhaul in the summer, we won seven of our first nine competitive games in 2023/24.

Leipzig head into 2024 as the fouth-placed side in the Bundesliga, UCL contenders (we face Real Madrid in the round of 16) and on a five-game unbeaten run.

We kick things off again after the winter break when we welcome Eintracht Frankfurt to the Red Bull Arena on 13th January
