What a screamer!
It was the 61st minute in Copenhagen’s Parken Stadium when Denmark’s full-back Victor Kristiansen made his way down the left wing towards the opponent’s goal. When he reached the opponent’s penalty area, he raised his head and kept an eye on his tall teammate in the center.
Yussuf Poulsen is lurking in the six-yard box, but he is closely guarded by two opponents. Nevertheless, the cross comes.

- “There was a cross, I could see the defender couldn’t get to the ball and I knew I had to hold back my opponent. That’s how the overhead kick happened. It’s not often that you score a goal with an overhead kick.
And: There aren’t many players who score an overhead kick goal in their career, so it was obviously spectacular. The goal is among my top two. I also scored a really good goal against Augsburg a few years ago, which was just as technically demanding.”
