Friends for life!
Joško Gvardiol and Dani Olmofeatured together in 51 games over the course of their careers, having become fast friends during their time together at Dinamo Zagreb and RB Leipzig. This summer, the two friends parted ways as Dani remained in Leipzig, while Joško moved to Manchester City.
It was a big adjustment for Olmo in particular: “We had certain things we would always do together in Leipzig: We’d eat breakfast or would meet for a chai latter. That’s all changed.”
Joško, meanwhile, misses Olmo’s sense of humour. “He makes a lot of bad jokes and never stops coming up with new ones – none of them are good, though,” the Croatia international said with a laugh.
