Looking ahead to FC Augsburg!

On Tuesday morning our boys started their training week before the away game at FC Augsburg next Saturday (kick-off: 3:30 p.m.). After an intensive training session, the squad diligently handed out autographs and were available for photos at the public training session.

As part of the media availability, Lukas Klostermann spoke about the success against Union, the experienced defense and the upcoming opponent.

Highlights from the win over Union

All the goals, all the moments!

Lukas Klostermann on…

… the victory over Union Berlin

  • “It was particularly important for us to get a positive result again after the last few weeks. I think the performance was good. We had a certain looseness in our play with the ball again. The balance between the lines was good, the aggressiveness was there. The duels were right and we really wanted to win in front of our fans. We can build on that.”

… the defensive shape

  • “I feel safe with all my teammates on the pitch. Even though Peter Gulacsi and Willi Orban haven’t been on the pitch with us for a long time, you can tell that they haven’t just been footballers since yesterday. They don’t need a long warm-up time and are direct totally there.”

… on FC Augsburg

  • “It’s going to be tough. We’ll focus on preparing for the game this week. This is an opponent who works a lot and shows a lot of intensity. We want to get three points and be wide awake from the first second. But regardless of the upcoming opponents, we want to start a run again.”
