The 60th Bundesliga season awaits!

After a strong third-place finish and successful DFB-Pokal title defence last season, RBL are back in action in the coming season. Here are the most important dates.

Find out when the Bundesliga season begins and the dates for the Winter break this year.

Bundesliga Matchdays:

  • Matchday one: 
    18th-20th August 2023
     
  • Double-game week | Matchday 16
    19th and 20th December 2023
     
  • Start of the second half of the season | Matchday 18: 
    19th-21st January 2024
     
  • Final game of the season | Matchday 34: 
    18th May 2024
     
  • Winter break | Between matchdays 16 & 17: 
    21st December 2023 to 12th January 2024

International breaks:

  • First break
    4th-12th September 2023
     
  • Second break
    09th-17th October 2023
     
  • Third break
    13th-21st November 2023

Match ball:

  • DERBYSTAR has provided the match ball for the Bundesliga and Supercup since the 2018/19 season.
     
  • The new ball “Bundesliga Brilliant APS” will be dedicated to the 60-year anniversary of the Bundesliga.
     
  • A special black and white ball will be used for matchdays one and two.
     
  • For the first time, the ball has been manufactured using partly recycled material and resembles classic footballs from the time the Bundesliga began.

Kick-off times:

  • The games will be played on:
    • Friday evening (20:30),
    • Saturday (15:30 and 18:30) and
    • Sunday (15:30, 17:30 and 19:30). 
       
  • There is an exception on matchday 16:
    • Tuesday and Wednesday (18:30 and 20:30)
