FCA sign forward Yusuf Kabadayi
Germany U20 international joins from FC Bayern
FC Augsburg have completed the signing of forward Yusuf Kabadayi. The 20-year-old Germany youth international spent last season on loan at second-tier side FC Schalke 04, where he played 24 games, scoring four goals. Kabadayi has put pen to paper on a long-term contract at FCA until 30th June 2028.
Born in Munich, Kabadayi can operate both as a winger and a central striker. The 20-year-old came through all of FC Bayern’s youth teams, including for their second side in the Regionalliga, where he netted 13 times and provided four assists in 38 matches. Kabadayi, who also has Turkish citizenship, has been a Germany youth international since 2021, having featured a total of 18 times for their U18, U19 and U20 sides.
“I’m really looking forward to this new challenge at FC Augsburg. My conversations with the club made it clear to me that here – near my home city of Munich – is the best place for me to develop,” said Yusuf Kabadayi. “Now, for me it’s about giving everything in pre-season and earning as many Bundesliga minutes as possible.”
“In Yusuf, we’re getting a rising young attacking talent who already has a very good skill set. He’s a versatile player who can operate across the front line with his dribbling ability, pace and physicality. After his time in the 2. Bundesliga last season, Yusuf is ready to take the next step into the Bundesliga with FCA. We’re looking forward to his future here and wish Yusuf a good start to life at FCA,” said sporting director Marinko Jurendic.
