Romano reveals talks over three more transfers after Liverpool book Mac Allister for a medical

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Liverpool have their eye on three other targets after booking Alexis Mac Allister in for a medical.

The Reds are looking to get their transfer business done as early as possible with their recruitment team looking to get ahead of rival bidders.

Romano and various other journalists revealed earlier on Monday that Brighton midfielder Mac Allister is set to become Liverpool’s first transfer ahead of the summer window,

The Italian journalist wrote on Twitter: “Alexis Mac Allister to Liverpool, here we go! Full agreement completed on the contract — understand it will be valid until June 2028. Five year deal. #LFC Liverpool will pay the buy out clause in the next days, way less than reported £60m fee. Medical tests in 24/48h. Done.”

In a later tweet he added: “The release clause for Alexis Mac Allister is lower than reported £45/50m. #LFC This is why Liverpool feel this could be a bargain as they want to get documents signed this week after booking medical tests to be completed in 24/48h.”

And Romano has also brought news of interest in three more players with Liverpool talking to the agents of Nice’s Khephren Thuram and Borussia Monchengladbach’s Manu Kone, while Celta Vigo’s Gabri Veiga is “appreciated”.

Romano continued: “After Alexis Mac Allister with medical booked this week, Liverpool will focus on more targets to rebuild the midfield. #LFC Conversations took place with agents of Manu Koné and Khephren Thuram. Gabri Veiga, appreciated but no bid or talks advancing yet. Step by step.”

Thuram ‘likes’ the idea of joining up with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool and that the Reds and the Frenchman’s representatives have been in talks for ‘for a few weeks’.

Kone, meanwhile, is understood to favour a move to Liverpool over Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain .

Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City seem to more interested in Celta Vigo midfielder Veiga .
