Man Utd are currently ‘ahead’ of Premier League rivals Newcastle in the race to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this summer, according to reports.

And now Gazzetta dello Sport insist that Man Utd are ‘ahead’ of Newcastle in the race to sign Osimhen as they ‘can count on the prestige of a glorious and winning tradition’.
Chelsea have also been rumoured as a possible destination – but Man Utd have the edge over Mauricio Pochettino’s side too as the Red Devils will be competing in the Champions League next season, unlike the Blues.
At least €120m will be needed to convince Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis to sell Osimhen this summer .
Corriere dello Sport journalist Pasquale Salvione brought an update on Osimhen’s position at Napoli over the weekend and urged clubs to “bring the money” if they want to sign the striker.

“In such a situation, the ambition of the Nigerian striker is understandable, as is the work done by his recruiters.”
