Man Utd ‘bombshell’ as ‘negotiations have already begun’ for PSG pair to form ‘devastating attack’

Manchester United will look to sign both Lionel Messi and Neymar this summer to form a ‘devastating attack’, according to a report in Spain.

United are back in the Champions League next season after their debut campaign under Erik ten Hag, which has also seen them win the League Cup, with FA Cup glory still a possibility with the final against Manchester City next weekend.

With the added pressure of the Champions League, Ten Hag is looking to bulk out his squad with fresh faces this summer, and Nacional claim the Dutch boss could have quite the pair of forwards to call upon.

Undeterred by reports of interest in Neymar being a load of sh*t, it’s not only claimed that the Brazilian will arrive at Old Trafford, but also his pal Messi.

Fabrizio Romano said last week: “There are no negotiations ongoing between Manchester United and PSG for Neymar as of now. Nothing concrete, no talks… at least with current owners/board. PSG already discussed Neymar’s exit internally, and are looking for a solution this summer.

“United strongly deny the rumours, they insist this is not true. This is the position of the current board, but they are in a sale process, so we’ll see what happens when it’s resolved – Neymar could be a target for new owners, but at the moment there is nothing concrete.”

But Nacional are sticking to their guns, claiming United want to take Neymar on loan pay his full salary, though ‘PSG want to get rid of him once and for all and intend to sell him’.

And Messi is available for free having come to the end of his PSG contract.

‘According to what they say in England, negotiations have already begun’ says the report, with no indication as to where they’re saying this in England, or who’s saying it.

PSG need to get rid of players this summer to stay within the bounds of Financial Fair Play, and getting both Messi and Neymar off their books would go a long way to achieving that.

The pair are said to be unhappy at the Parc des Princes, with ultras driving them out of the club.

It’s thought they would like to still play together, and although Barcelona seems to be a likely landing spot, given they’ve both played there before, the Blaugrana’s own financial issues will prevent that.
