After an admittedly rather short break over Christmas, the Wolves returned to the training pitch at the VfL-Center on Thursday just eight days after their last competitive game of the year against Bayern Munich. Head coach Niko Kovac’s charges were put through their paces for almost two hours, despite the biting cold wind that accompanied them.
Following an extensive warm-up, the team worked on playing in different formations. The Green-and-Whites will train once again on Friday 29 December (from 10:00 CET) before enjoying another brief break ahead of jetting off to the Portuguese town of Almancil for their winter training camp on 2 January 2024.
Amin Sarr and Rogerio should both be among the travelling party, having missed Thursday’s session due to knee complaints. They are expected to return to full training at the camp in Portugal.
Wölfe TV accompanied the players as they returned to training.
