With Saturday’s game against Champions League participants Leipzig just around the corner, VfL midfielder Patrick Wimmer took time out for a short interview.
Patrick Wimmer, the team produced the first disappointing performance of the year last time out. Having had time to digest it now, what are your thoughts on the draw at Schalke?
Patrick Wimmer: “I think every footballer in Germany knows how difficult it is to play at Schalke. We had some problems with our man-marking in defence, and weren’t able to find solutions like we managed to in previous weeks. But we’ve worked on that and are now only looking forwards.”
