The German Football Association (DFB) sports tribunal has suspended VfL centre-back Maxence Lacroix for two league matches because of unsportsmanlike conduct. Lacroix was sent off by referee Robert Hartmann in the 28th minute of the Wolves’ 1-0 win at Darmstadt for a professional foul.
Consequently, the Frenchman will not only miss tonight’s game against Bayern Munich (20:30 CET) but also the Matchday 17 clash away to 1. FSV Mainz 05 on Saturday 13 January 2024 (15:30 CET). Lacroix will be available again for the match against 1. FC Heidenheim a week later.
