Two days after taking office at VfL Wolfsburg, Peter Christiansen was officially introduced as the club’s new managing director at a press conference at the Volkswagen Arena. Full of vigour, he was welcomed with praise by Frank Witter, chairman of the supervisory board.
“Peter is someone who is committed to success and is passionate about it,” said Witter of Marcel Schäfer’s successor. “He has an impressive track record and identifies 100 per cent with this club. I was very impressed by the way he spoke with respect and enthusiasm about his previous positions, and I was convinced that Peter would be a good fit for us. He is someone who represents the values of VfL and is a good fit with everyone involved.”
