VfL Wolfsburg have extended the contract of gifted 19-year-old attacker Dzenan Pejcinovic, who has been at the Wolves since July 2022, awarding him a long-term deal at the club.
“Dzenan has developed very well since arriving here in Wolfsburg,” said VfL sporting director Sebastian Schindzielorz. “His goal record in our U19s and in the national set-up, as well as the progress he has shown with the first team, underline that he is a talented and ambitious player. It’s no accident that Dzenan has attracted interest from a number of top European clubs, which makes us all the more pleased that we’ll continue our path together in the long term. We believe that Dzenan is nowhere near the end of his development.”
The Germany U19 international has so far made four Bundesliga appearances for VfL, while he also scored 28 goals in 18 games for the U19s in the Bundesliga North/North-East division in 2023/24. Pejcinovic was previously in the Bayern Munich and FC Augsburg youth academies prior to moving to Wolfsburg
