Nick Woltemade made his first appearance for the Germany U21 side on Friday and stood out straight away. After spending the first half on the bench, he led the team to a 2-0 win over Ukraine in the second period with an impressive performance and assist. On Tuesday (19:00 CEST), they will face Kosovo. Olivier Deman has been named in the Belgium squad for the second time, but did not feature in the 1-0 win against Azerbaijan. His next opportunity comes on Tuesday (20:45 CEST) when they take on Estonia.
Leon Opitz (Germany U19) and Rafael Borré (Colombia) appeared on Wednesday and Friday, while Milos Veljkovic and Jiri Pavlenka did so on Thursday. Werder’s numbers 13 and 1 could feature again today: Veljkovic and Serbia go to Lithuania this evening (20:45 CEST). Pavlenka’s Czechia are also in action at the same time, in a friendly against Hungary.
