Head coach Ole Werner: “We didn’t show as much bravery as we could’ve done in the first half, which was likely the cause of the first goal. We played really well for most of the second half, but couldn’t utilise our chances. We threw everything at them and that led to conceding more goals.”
Head of professional football Clemens Fritz: “You really want to avoid going behind early against Bayern. I think we got our teeth into the challenge and gave it our all. We knew that the game wasn’t over at half time. We played with bravery, made use of the space on offer, but needed that little bit of luck to score any goals. The scoreline was perhaps a bit too heavy in the end.”
Marco Friedl: “We suffered a poor start but did alright after that. We were the better team at the start of the second half. You have to take your chances if you want to get anything against Bayern. We conceded two soft goals at the end and they make it look like such a heavy defeat.”

Milos Veljkovic: “Our performance until the 70th minute encouraged us, but we were always one step behind them after that and didn’t do the basics well. An opponent with the quality they possess will then punish you. We need to recover well from tonight and take some confidence into our next game.”
Marvin Ducksch: “We knew what to expect and came into this game full of confidence, but unfortunately didn’t manage to play to our best. We knew we would have to defend well and throw ourselves about. They scored two more goals than they should have in the end.”
Senne Lynen: “A defeat is a defeat, no matter what the scoreline is. The atmosphere in the stadium was electric. Playing my first game here was a great feeling, but, of course, I had hoped for a better result.”
