“Skelly’s injury is of course another setback for us and for him. We hope that he will be able to return and feature again before the end of the season. It’s unfortunate for Skelly, because he has been able to integrate himself well into the team and has put in some strong performances already,” said Clemens Fritz, Werder’s head of professional football.
Skelly Alvero moved on loan to Bremen from Olympique Lyon over the winter, with the two clubs also agreeing to a buy option. Alvero has featured six times for the Green-Whites to date, scoring once.
