“While the situation with Marco still seemed fairly good yesterday afternoon, it deteriorated pretty badly overnight, and as such we did some more tests on Wednesday morning which revealed a tear in the syndesmosis ligament,” explained Clemens Fritz, head of professional football at SV Werder Bremen.
