Head coach Ole Werner: “At the end of day, we deserved a point. We were on top in the first half, controlling the tempo and not giving Eintracht space to play. Frankfurt were then the superior side in the second half, but we had really good chances at the death of the game that we should have used better. It’s a draw against a strong Frankfurt side, but we definitely could have got all three, so I’ve got mixed feelings on the whole.”
Marco Friedl: “We’re disappointed. We played really well for 70 minutes with and without the ball, but we played poorly and made mistakes during a 15-minute period of the match, which allowed Eintracht Frankfurt back into the game. Ultimately, the game ended in a 2-2 draw, but we could have or should have picked up all three points.”
Marvin Ducksch: “We played really well for 70 minutes against a top team. The fact that we didn’t end up winning the game is frustrating, since we had a lot of chances. We had to capitalise on the opportunities that we had at the end of the game, but we didn’t do that.
Romano Schmid: “We stopped playing football for 20 minutes and we didn’t play how we wanted to after going 2-0 up. I think that we should’ve won the game, but obviously we’ll take the point, as every point counts in the Bundesliga.”
