“Dawid’s time so far at Werder has gone slightly differently to how both the club and he had initially imagined. Right now, it is important for him to get back playing and to rediscover his form, while still playing at a high level. We believe that this can happen most effectively in Düsseldorf and wish Dawid all the best for the coming months,” said Niemeyer.
Dawid Kownacki made the transfer to Bremen from Fortuna Düsseldorf in summer 2023. He featured 22 times for Werder in the Bundesliga last season.
