Four youngsters (Spyros Angelidis, Levi Wagner, Joel Imasuen from the U23s, Wesley Adeh from the U19s) are part of the training camp squad. Milos Veljkovic, who was in action at EURO 2024 with Serbia, will arrive at some point during the day. Romano Schmid and Marco Grüll, who were also at the tournament with Austria, are expected to arrive at the team hotel next Wednesday (24/7). Naby Keita (preparing for the Olympics) and Abdenego Nankishi (muscular problems) will not be involved.
Aside from plenty of training sessions, SVW will also play two friendlies at the Parkstadion in Zell am Ziller. The opponents will be Italian side US Lecce (Sat, 20/7, 15:00 CEST) and English club Sheffield Wednesday (Fri, 26/7, 14:00 CEST). Werder will head back to Bremen on Saturday, 27th July.
