The Annual General Meeting of 1. FC Union Berlin will take place this year online on Thursday December 2, 2021. The decision was taken by the Executive Committee in consultation with the supervisory board, the honorary council and the fan and member departments.

On Monday November 15, the Senate of Berlin have brought in 2G health and safety protocols to help curb the outbreak of coronavirus. The rules, which apply for more than 20 people, do not allowed for the AGM to be held face-to-face in line with the club’s statues — the right for all to take part in the meeting would not be guaranteed.

“We would have liked to report to the members face to face about this exceptionally successful year in terms of sport. Unfortunately, this is not possible for the second time in a row. Due to the still unforeseeable development of the pandemic and the measures to combat it, we have decided against a postponement and will now prepare for the digital implementation of the general meeting,” said Dirk Zinger, 1. FC Union Berlin club president.

To participate in the digital event, every club member needs either a computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone and a stable internet connection. All club members will receive their personal access data and further information on how to participate in good time before the date of the meeting.
