“I have felt very comfortable at Union and in Berlin over the last few years and therefore I would like to thank the coaching team, the medical department, the staff, the team and the fans for the wonderful time. The decision was not easy for me, but for private reasons I will now take on a new task and look forward to seeing you again soon at the Alte Försterei,” added Busse.

“I’m looking forward to the new task and the associated confidence from the club to take the next step. The years I have spent at the youth development centre have been very enjoyable and have helped me develop. That’s why I would also like to thank all my colleagues at the NLZ for their cooperation so far,” said Kuper about his new role at 1. FC Union Berlin.

“It was only in June that we extended the contract with Christopher because we were very satisfied with his work. He has contributed significantly to the team’s success and, in addition to promotion, has also kept the team in the league and qualified for the Conference League. Of course, we can understand his move and wish him maximum success in his next task, looking forward to working together,” said Oliver Ruhnert, 1. FC Union Berlin’s Managing Director for Professional Football.

Ruhnert added: “Michel has known the club for 5 years already and fits very well into our team. We are looking forward to working together.”
