VfB Stuttgart have been drawn against Jahn Regensburg in the last 16 of this season’s DFB Cup competition. The Bundesliga 2 side knocked out VfL Bochum (1-0) in the first round and followed that up with victory over SpVgg Greuther Fürth (1-0) in the second round.
Board member for sport Fabian Wohlgemuth: “Obviously we would have preferred a home game, like every club. As the Bundesliga team we’re favourites to go through, despite playing away, but we’re well aware that Regensburg beat Bochum in the first round. That’s a warning we need to heed.”
