Trading cards on a digital platform

The VfB trading cards will kick off with two collections: one with the players from the current first-team squad, the other with legends from the 130-year history of the club. Fans will be able to acquire the trading cards in closed packs and exchange them for other cards via a virtual transfer market. Depending on the size of the pack, the cards will cost between six and ten euros, with each one having exclusive added extras.

The legends cards can be purchased directly or earned once your own team of 11 player cards has been put together. The first two legends to be released are 2007 Bundesliga winners Timo Hildebrand and Cacau. More legends cards will become available over time once a new community level has been reached, which goes up with every trading card acquired. Signing up to the platform via this link is quick and easy using existing VfB Shop customer details or by registering using a Google account or email address.

Unique experiences and added value with every card

“The VfB Collectibles are a way for us to pursue the age-old passion for collecting in a contemporary way,” said Rouven Kasper, VfB member of the executive board and chief marketing and sales officer. “The integration of the club’s 130-year history is of particular importance for us, with the carefully curated legends cards completing the portfolio. It’s great that our partners also recognise the potential of this innovation, and together we will be able to offer fans exclusive advantages.”

Enjoy collecting while supporting a good cause

Furthermore, VfB Stuttgart will be supporting a worthy cause via the platform, with 10 per cent of proceeds going to the VfB “Brustring der Herzen” foundation.

The VfB Collectibles have been designed in partnership with Swedish tech firm Chromaway, who have developed and now manage the innovative platform. The VfB Collectibles will also feature high-quality digital designs courtesy of the CA Agentur agency.
