David Nemeth has joined 2. Bundesliga side St. Pauli for an undisclosed fee. The 21-year-old signed for Mainz back in the summer of 2020 and spent the following season on loan at Austrian Bundesliga side Sturm Graz, before returning to the Bruchweg for the 2021/22 campaign. The youngster made seven league appearances for FSV last season.
“David is still young and he is looking for a new challenge in his career. A number of clubs expressed their interest but he decided that St. Pauli was the right fit. This step will be beneficial for his development. We wish David all the best and every success in Hamburg,” said sporting director Martin Schmidt.
