Line-up

Pellegrino Matarazzo made one change to the starting line-up that won 3-2 in Bremen before the international break, with the injured Ozan Kabak replaced by Attila Szalai.

The scenario

TSG went into the matchday in fifth place with 15 points from their first seven matches, while Eintracht occupied eighth position with 10 points.

Moment of the match

The goal for 2-1: Hoffenheim could not stop Frankfurt’s link-up play; the resulting goal from Ansgar Knauff put Eintracht into the lead and paved the way for a home defeat for Hoffenheim.

Number of the game: 100

Pellegrino Matarazzo was making his 100th coaching appearance in the Bundesliga.

New record

After Oliver Baumann had set up the opener for Hoffenheim, SGE shot-stopper Jens Grahl, who used to keep goal for TSG, assisted the goal for 1-1. It is the first time since assists were recorded in the summer of 2004 that both goalkeepers have claimed an assist in a Bundesliga game.

TSG are off to the state capital next weekend: the clash with VfB Stuttgart, who have also started well, will kick off at 15:30 CET on Saturday.
