Under the motto “Niemals vergessen – Fußballfans auf Spurensuche” (“Lest we forget – football fans in search of history”, the working group ‘AK Erinnerungsarbeit’, which focuses on not losing sight of the events of the time is inviting fans to explore the historical connections to Auschwitz and to reiterate the importance of taking responsibility for preserving those memories. The focus is on the stories and fates of citizens of North Baden who are connected with Auschwitz.
The project will be accompanied by preparatory events that will convey knowledge and promote a dialogue on the subject. A joint follow-up offers space for everyone to reflect on their impressions of the journey and to develop approaches for future engagement.
Being a fan of TSG Hoffenheim does not just mean cheering in the stadium. It also means taking responsibility for our history, our community and our society. With this project, TSG are looking to strengthen the diversity of our fan culture and look beyond the pitch together.
