Only the match results did not quite match an otherwise wonderful day. The TSG women succumbed to a loss against reigning Champions League champions Barcelona (5-1), while the men tasted defeat to an efficient Fulham side (2-0). Between the two matches at the PreZero Arena, the event mile drew in visitors with its diverse stands and its comprehensive gastronomic offering.
The men’s match was followed by an autograph-signing session in the evening where the players and coach Pellegrino Matarazzo took time for the fans and not only put pen to paper, but also posed for photos and made themselves available for a quick chat.
