The matches will take place on 3rd and 4th December, with exact timings set to be confirmed in due course. Of the 16 teams remaining in the competition, 10 are from the Bundesliga, five from the second division and just one representative from the 3. Liga – Arminia Bielefeld. Despite SC being drawn first from the pot, the home team in this fixture will be Bielefeld, due to their status as the lower-ranked side.

Head coach Kniat Mitch’s side are on a good run of form at the minute. They are currently in second place after 12 matchdays in the third division, and have already eliminated higher-ranked opponents from the DFB-Pokal this season. Arminia’s first-round game saw them knock out Hannover 96 (Bundesliga 2), while they triumphed over Bundesliga outfit 1. FC Union Berlin in the second round.
