Preparations for the upcoming season will begin this Sunday at the Europa-Park Stadion, ahead of SC Freiburg’s return to competitive action. After several training sessions, a pre-season training camp in Schruns and various friendlies, the team will take part in the opening round of the DFB-Pokal away at VfL Osnabrück on 16th August. Their return to league action will follow a week later, at home against VfB Stuttgart, who count Yannik Keitel in their ranks.

SC have a tough start to the season ahead of them, with head coach Julian Schuster’s side travelling to face Bayern the following week (30.08-01.09). The first international break of the season will then follow, before SC return to Bundesliga action at home against VfL Bochum on the weekend of 13th to 15th September.

The first half of the season will end in January (14/15.01.25) as part of a double game week, in which SC will travel to face Eintracht Frankfurt.

The second half of the season will then get underway with a trip to Stuttgart on the weekend of 17th to 19th January. The 2024/25 season will conclude at home against Frankfurt on 17th May.

The exact dates and timings of matchdays 1 to 16 are set to be confirmed in due course.
