As was agreed when he joined Frankfurt in summer 2021, Nacho signed professional terms not long after turning 18 – on 1 November. The deal will initially run until 2025.

After joining Eintracht from UD Alzira’s academy last year, the Spanish youngster caught the eye with six goals in eight appearances for the U19s before becoming a key performer in the Eagles’ reinstated U21 side this season.

Top of the charts

Nacho currently leads the goals and assists chart in the LOTTO Hessenliga (fifth division), having registered ten goals and seven assists in 16 appearances in a successful start to his men’s football career. He also played a major role in helping Eintracht qualify from their UEFA Youth League group, bagging a goal and three assists in their six matches.

Markus Krösche, Eintracht board member for sport, commented: “Nacho has developed very, very well – particularly over the past six months – and is an important pillar of our U21 team. He is already training with the first team on a regular basis. His profile is very interesting – he’s a tall and quick striker, which is why we’re happy he’s staying with us for the long term.”
