After the friendly fixture against San Diego Loyal the evening before, BVB coach Edin Terzic announced that the players who had featured would complete a regenerative session on Friday morning. The others would be put through a longer session.
The training group was divided up on Friday morning: those would had a lot of minutes under their belts completed a session in the fitness hall and on the bike before subsequently taking an ice bath.
Nine players predominantly from the U23s and U19s who had gotten little or no playing time were put through a sterner test in the form of passing and attacking drills. New signing Marcel Sabitzer was among them and additionally completed running drills once again.
Julien Duranville and Nico Schlotterbeck, who came off with an injury in the friendly against San Diego, were examined on Friday. “There are no results thus far. I hope that it’s not too bad,” said sporting director Sebastian Kehl in a media round.
