While the Borussia Dortmund first team were departing from the training camp in San Diego (USA) on Saturday afternoon and flying to Las Vegas to play a friendly against Manchester United, Nico Schlotterbeck was making the journey home to Germany.

The international player sustained an injury during the first friendly against San Diego Loyal (6-0) that would have made it impossible to train over the coming days.

He will therefore use the time to seek out a medical opinion in Germany, where he will link back up with his team-mates next week.
