On Tuesday evening, Borussia Dortmund’s eFootballers played Matchdays 2 to 4 in the Virtual Bundesliga (VBL). The Black and Yellows faced off against Mönchengladbach, Hannover and Paderborn.
BVB’s first VBL home game in the club’s history kicked off at 17:30 CET in front of around 75 spectators in the SIGNAL IDUNA GAMING PARK. The evening began with great promise: Roee Feldman and Dennis Malcherczyk won their 2-vs-2 with a last minute goal to give BVB the lead. With two draws in the 1-vs-1 games, the eFootballers brought the victory over the finish line to secure the first three points for BVB in the VBL!
The second game against Hannover 96, on the other hand, started with a 3-0 defeat for the Malcherczyk/Feldman partnership. Feldman then equalised with a victory in the next 1-vs-1 game. However, BVB lost the decider, meaning that the three points went to Lower Saxony.
The Black and Yellow eFootballers immediately turned their attention to the game – this time against SC Paderborn, the current leaders of the North-West Division. However, they lost in the 2-vs-2 opening match, meaning Borussia would have to come from behind again. Feldman took to the controller and was highly impressive, beating strong player Jonas Wirth 7-1. In the last match, however, our Belgian new signing Bradley Destoop was beaten 3-1 by Jamie “Chaser” Bartel. Just as they did in the game against Hanover, BVB came away empty-handed.
Next Tuesday, 28 November, BVB will have another triple-header as they face the following opponents:
- 17:30 CET vs. Eintracht Braunschweig
- 19:00 CET vs. FC Hansa Rostock
- 20:30 CET vs. Bayer 04 Leverkusen
The doors of the SIGNAL IDUNA GAMING PARK (Kampstraße 1, 44137 Dortmund) will be open to all spectators from 16:30 CET. Admission is free. Come along and support the eFootballers – there will be cool prizes to win again!
