Four BVB players were on the pitch for the Germany national team’s fixture against Austria in Vienna. Four other Borussia players were in international action on Tuesday evening.

Marcel Sabitzer, who was later substituted off in the 90th minute, opened the scoring in a 2-0 home victory for the Austrians. Mats Hummels, Julian Brandt (up until 53rd minute) and Niclas Füllkrug (up until 46th minute) lined up for the Germany national team in the friendly fixture. Niklas Süle was an unused substitute.

Salih Özcan helped Türkiye secure top spot in the group by drawing 1-1 in Wales in their final EURO qualifying match.

The Netherlands won by a 6-0 scoreline against Gibraltar. Donyell Malen had several opportunities to score the goal to make it 3-0 and ultimately set up Calvin Stengs to make it 4-0 before being substituted off in the 77th minute. The Netherlands finished their qualifying group in second place behind France.

Germany’s U21s won 3-1 against Poland. Youssoufa Moukoko was in action up until the 68th minute. The DFB youngsters have taken over top spot in the table with 12 points from their four matches.

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens played for the England U21s against Northern Ireland (3-0) up until the 70th minute.
