During the end-of-season party at SIGNAL IDUNA PARK, the BVB women bade farewell to 14 players who will no longer be pulling on the Black & Yellow jersey next season.
Stefanie Scheibe, Hannah Goosmann, Annika Billig, Luisa Bergmann, Denise Pörteners, Allegra Gerres, Annika Fälker and Annika Herbig are leaving the women’s senior team.
Lilli Prinzen, Lisa Timmermann, Anna Lena West, Merle Bergins, Jana Wojcinski and Analena Stracke of the women’s second team are leaving the club too. Lena Kölmel, Marjana Naceva and Ana Schönenberg will move up to the first team ahead of next season.
Ricarda Wolff, who was part of the coaching staff in her role as physiotherapist last season, was also bidden farewell.
The BVB women can look back on a successful season. The senior team won the Bezirksliga title with maximum points and were promoted to the Landesliga. In addition, coach Thomas Sulewski’s team won the Dortmund Indoor Football Championships and the Kreispokal. The Black & Yellow team also made it to the quarter-finals of the Westfalenpokal, where they lost to higher-division opponents VfL Bochum.
The second team qualified for the promotion round to the Bezirksliga without dropping any points. The Black & Yellows finished this final round in top spot in the table and will play in the Bezirksliga next season.
